UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Penn State Student Engagement Network is offering grant funding for students interested in expanding their undergraduate experience beyond the classroom. Grants of up to $3,000 are available to students who are interested in pursuing engagement experiences.

New Faculty Academy for Engaged Scholarship Seeks Proposals

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — The Student Engagement Network is announcing a call for proposals for the first cohort of the Faculty Academy for Engaged Scholarship. The academy will support faculty who wish to spend a portion of their time during the academic year developing research, scholarship, creative accomplishment, and/or programming (courses or curriculum) involving engaged scholarship.

New PubHub Website Helps Students Hone Research-Publishing Skills

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — For students struggling with writing manuscripts for refereed journals, or even those who just want to hone their research-writing skills, help has arrived in the form of more than 50 online learning modules, collectively called PubHub and made available last spring by the Penn State Council on Engaged Scholarship.

Zeman Named Director of New Student Engagement Network

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Mike Zeman, former director for Science Outreach in the Eberly College of Science, has been named director of the new Student Engagement Network, effective Nov. 7. The network, a joint initiative of Undergraduate Education, Student Affairs and Outreach and Online Education, will work to enhance curricular and co-curricular opportunities for Penn State undergraduate students through student engagement, engaged scholarship and community partnerships.
